Canti per Maria: Celebrating the 125th Anniversary of Holy Rosary Church in Cleveland’s Historic “Little Italy”
The one-act opera, Mary Chesnut, tells the true life story of one woman's journey through one of the most traumatic events in American history, "the war between the states", providing a rare glimpse into a personal experience of the horror of war from a woman's perspective. Honest and transparent in his approach, composer Steven Mark Kohn allows Mary to tell her own story, and the audience to form their own judgements, as witnesses of her transformation.
